Is that offer to talk still valid?

Yes. That, and other things.
Yes. That, and other things.
Ah. [ He has the decency to look sheepish. The thing he created with d'Artagnan must be a little uncouth to Nikolai who makes everything and knows just what he's doing. Still, Athos shrugs his shoulders with a smile and glances up. ]
Henri. Sturmhond. [ He says the other man's chosen name because he's not entirely sure the Haroomba will understand the concept of a secret. The reaction from his feet is immediate however. ] En garde, Monsieur
[ Athos places his boot between Henri and Nikolai so the other man doesn't get his feet run over and sighs. ] I blame d'Artagnan for this.

I'll be there shortly.
[ You're blowing things up without him? On any other day Barnaby might be offended, but he's more troubled than he has been in some time and too preoccupied to notice. He'd tried to encourage Justice to stay behind with Galahad, but she'd scratched him every time he'd tried to tell her no. In the end she was following along beside him as he went to seek out Sturmhond, keeping close to his heels.
When he finally gets there, Sturmhond will be likely to notice how tired Barnaby looks. He hasn't managed to sleep since Dagger's announcement despite his best efforts; in the end he'd given up, laid awake and stared at the ceiling for a while, before contacting the only person who he thought might understand. After seeing what he's up to, there's a small quirk of his lips. It all makes sense now. ]
Now I understand why you wanted some space. Are you sure I'm not interrupting?

She is my responsibility.
She is my responsibility.
[ Henri decides to keep advancing, bumping into Nikolai's foot before he moves back towards Athos. ]
No. [ He offers a wry smile. ] He just ended up like that. It's either the fight or he asks for wine. Equal parts. [ And Athos sounds so very pleased by that. He might have pretended otherwise but here is one of his closest friends, someone he cares the most about in this whole godforsaken place. ] I don't know how we managed it. But I'm glad d'Artagnan got to keep him.

Anne will always survive. No matter what I do. She will always be there. But she is still my responsibility. I will deal with it.

He did. I believe it is because they thought our rover was already dealt with. [ He smiles a little. ] You are far more better than we were at creating something of Henri's kind.
[ Still, Athos is more than a little fond at the thing at his feet. ] He does. Even if one doesn't want him to.

are you here?
[It means plenty of things- is Sturmhond still here, on the planet, fully alive? Is present in his rover, available to talk? In Medical somewhere, hurt, dead-? His thoughts have been scattered at best, and he had to help Jack out of the altercation with the Elder God early, and hasn't found anyone.
A beat, and then]

[ When Barnaby sits, Justice immediately climbs into his lap and makes herself comfortable, even though by rights she’s a little too big for that privilege now. He barely seems to register the action. A number of different incidents have led to this moment, and it’s something that he never thought he’d have to acknowledge or confront. Thanks to Vriska, he doesn’t have any other choice.
For a long time, Barnaby stares at his hands. Sturmhond might almost begin to think that his friend didn’t hear him, but eventually he manages to speak without any further prompting. When he does his voice is quiet, his tone wavering despite knowing that what he’s going to say, he’s saying with absolute certainty. ]
You were right. About Kotetsu and I.
[ Or should he say that Sturmhond was right about Barnaby himself? ]
