It hatched? So he's reptilian? [He quirks his head to the left. Okay, slight bit of a geek moment here, forgive him, because the morphism says mammal but the skin and carapaces say...well insect or reptile, really. It's a bizarre mix.] Does he chew his food or spit digestive juices on it first?

I don’t know if it’s as simple as that. He’s an alien species. I’d say
reptilian as a guess, but his behaviour tends towards the feline, in my
opinion.
