It depended on the job. Sometimes the key was acquisition, taking ships from the enemy – or taking something they had, stealing technology or rescuing a hostage.

Breaking their blockades is what I’m famous for. The Fjerdan blockades had cut off Ravka’s merchant trade for a long time, and the First Army could do little about it.

I have a large fleet, which with any luck my mate Privyet will be caring for now. Originally they were aquatic, solely, but my success with airships changed that.

You’d like those, I think. They’re very different from the ships you know here. They have no engines, and don’t need them. Most are still experimental, but that’s part of the thrill.
