[ Being aware of his weaknesses is why Barnaby tends to do so well in life, he thinks. Ignoring them won't make them go away. But if he works on them, genuinely tries to improve himself, he thinks he's on the right track. Over his time with the CDC, it's also been a constant reminder that the instructors hold them to much higher standards than they do themselves sometimes.

This is a slightly different issue. One that he isn't entirely sure how to approach, but he'll manage all the same. He always does. And Barnaby isn't alone this time. ]


I do, yes. It may not be the easiest path, but I refuse to allow myself to falter now. The instructors may be willing to help guide us in what they believe to be the right direction, but how long it will last before they expect us to be ready is uncertain. I don't want to be unprepared when that time comes.
